Book Review:

After reading the book “We All Looked Up” by Tommy Wallach one thing for sure is that I’m rethinking everything about life. The book was not boring, because honestly there was never a dull moment in the book. How could there be a dull moment when the world is ending in two months due to an asteroid? This was a POV book and alternated between our four main characters: Peter, Eliza, Anita, and Andy. The ultimate karass! And whew, these characters are all going through their own difficult situation in life. Eliza’s mom left her for Hawaii and a new man, while her dad just developed cancer that will kill him in a year's time. Anita is stuck under the constant pressure of her parents. Andy doesn't have any good friends and his mom cares very little about him. And Peter? Well, Peter has an older brother who died, a younger sister who is unrecognizable, and is honestly just trying to figure out if his life really amounts to anything. Wallach asks real questions from the start. What if my life amounts to nothing and things keep getting worse and worse after high school? I truly never thought someone could put what a teenager like me feels into words, but I guess I was wrong! Why are we waiting to do things like we have all the time in the universe? And what happens when you realize that time is precious and you don’t have a lot of it left. This book is very intriguing, makes you re-think life, and got me out of a reading slump. I would definitely recommend it! 100%.
