Book Review:

Prior to reading Twisted Hate I did not hear much about this book compared to the others in the series. It almost seemed as if the book got lost in the midst of the others in the series. Though when I did hear discussion of this book, the reviews did not exactly make me want to jump at the chance to read the love story between Jules and Josh. However, when I picked up the book for myself and read what it had to offer I did not understand why people were not bouncing off their ceilings.

To laugh while reading a book is a rare occurrence for me, so when it happens the author must have written something extremely funny. While reading Twisted Hate not only did I laugh once, but multiple times. Ana Haung writes tension filled banter between the two main characters Jules and Josh that leaves no room for anything but laughter. The quick, witty insults they throw back and forth are just hilarious and showcase their attraction more than their apparent discourse. I love that their banter extends even after they get into a relationship. Many times authors do not continue this after the relationship has developed, however Ana Haung does not fail to include the entertaining back and forth between the main characters.

I felt Twisted Hate was one of the more relatable books in the series. Jules Ambrose, our female main character, is studying to become a lawyer, while the charming Josh Chen is on his way to becoming a doctor. Standing next to the billionaires, CEOS, ex Navy Seals, and a princess Jules and Josh seem dull in comparison. Though this can seem to be the case I also liked how down the earth the characters felt in the book. Due to their professions and mannerisms the relationship between Jules and Josh seemed more realistic. The curveball thrown at their relationship was even painted to be more realistic. This is because the problems they were having in their relationship such as lying and distrust could be compared to real life issues in relationships as well.

Overall I believe Twisted Hate is a great book and is one that is definitely overlooked and underrated when reviewing the Twisted series. The crazy ride of Jules and Josh’s relationship will have you feeling so many emotions all throughout the book, but it was worth every second.
