All I can say is Ana Haung did it once again with the second book in her Twisted Series. Twisted Games is the type of book that you cannot wait to get through but also don’t want it to end at the same time. I love the two main characters, Bridget and Rhys and the way their relationship transpired over the course of the book. If you either love books or are looking for a book with a bodyguard and princess, forced proximity, and more this is definitely the book for you!
When reviewing a book I usually have at least one critique, however when it comes to Twisted Games I do not have much to say. Bridget is the definition of a forbidden fruit that Rhys shouldn’t want, but cannot help but be drawn towards. In the beginning of the book it seems as though their relationship may never progress as Bridget is also defying and questioning Rhys’ every move. While on the other hand Rhys is creating a list of ridiculous rules and expectations he demands that Bridget follow. While reading their story it was both funny and painful to witness Rhys trying to deny and push aside his feelings for Bridget until he couldn’t anymore. He was so obviously head over heels for her but continued to deny it to himself, however this made it even more frustrating because all you wanted was for him to give in so that they could finally be together.
One thing is for certain about a forbidden romance - there will be tons of tension and jealousy. Due to Bridget’s royal status it is expected that she will marry someone of royal blood. As a result, this led Bridget and Rhys to slip out of the public eye to be together. It also caused jealousy inside Rhys as he had to watch Bridget date potential suitors. I loved this because I felt as though there was never a dull moment in the book. Both Bridget and Rhys were passionate about their growing relationship with one another and that was seen through the way each of them tried their best to make their relationship work despite it going against the law. Rhys is the type of guy that will fight to be with his girl to the very end and that makes him ten times more lovable!
I would totally recommend you pick up Ana Haung’s next book in the Twisted Series because it will definitely not disappoint!
